Finding a wedding dress either seems to happen very quickly for some people or extremely slowly. Sticking to a budget as well only complicates things! I have done the work for you and rounded up 10 websites that sell bridal gowns (or white dresses that could be wedding dresses) at a high street price.
If you’re someone that wants a modern, stylish wedding dress but can’t afford to spend thousands then open up these links and find your perfect dress today.
Personally I’m not a huge fan of Monsoon’s products however I was recently impressed at their range of bridal gowns and their prices. On their site they currently have 20 dress’s available ranging from £229 – £499. None of them are my style and I think you can get similar styles somewhere cheaper however as I’ve never purchased from Monsoon then I can’t speak for the quality you would be getting. I do know however there’s some lovely dress’s for a good price.
Pretty Little Thing is not a site I usually shop from however when doing research for this post I was impressed at their prices for what I consider a ‘casual wedding dress’. A casual dress might be worn for a meet and greet before the wedding, a legal ceremony or a bridal shower. Prices only go up to £80 and with the styles you are sure to stand out.
ASOS doesn’t have a designated wedding dress section however searching for all white dresses and sorting them expensive to cheap will display a range of dress’s perfect for any casual but elegant bride. These dress’s are in the £125 – £250 so not the cheapest on the figurative high street but certainly not the most expensive. The key to seeing which ones they think can be used for bridal are usually the ones where the model is also holding flowers!
BooHoo are by far one of my favourite retailers to shop from. Firstly because they have so many products so it’s easy to get something specific to what you want. Also their delivery is super fast and returns are hassle free. That being said, there isn’t a bridal section however we can look at all expensive white dresses and see some that can be used as a wedding dress. They’re quite bold so can be used for a very modern wedding. Their most expensive white dress is only £80 so by far one of the cheapest websites to visit on this list.
Ted baker is by far the most expensive option on this list however compared to a bridal shop it does still come in quite cheap. Their wedding dress’s start at around £599 and range up to £899 – which is still two thirds of the average wedding dress cost in the uk (outside of London). Ted Baker is not the cheapest brand but you will certainly get quality when you buy from them.
Dorothy Perkins is a brand I didn’t at all give any attention to when I was younger but now I’m approaching 30 I’m starting to see the appeal of their clothing. Their bridal dresses section does not disappoint either. Currently they have 22 gowns online ranging from just £52 (reduced from £69) to a reasonable £168 (reduced from £225). Styles vary which is great for the bride who isn’t sure on her shape yet.
Quiz can often look very tawdry from the outside of their shops with dresses heaving with dominates, but the online store is a great place to find a wedding dress on a budget. They currently have only 13 bridal gowns available ranging from £49 – £89 which are complete bargains. They are mostly all fitted so not for me unfortunately but check them out if you’re looking for a fitted wedding dress.
Wow – I actually love some of the gowns available on Simply Be and to top it off they are very reasonably priced. The most expensive dress I can see today is only £225 with the cheapest at just £50! Simply Be is a winner for any plus sized brides looking for a bargain wedding dress.
Missguided is not somewhere you think of when you think of where to buy your wedding dress but there are some dresses in their collection that I could see a modern bride wearing. Prices start around £50 and go up to about £150 however, like mentioned, they’re very modern styles for a very extroverted bride who wants to stand out.
ChiChi London currently has 23 bridal gowns ranging from just £32 (reduced from £65) to a modest £140. I actually very nearly went with ChiChi London until I spotted my dream dress in a bridal shop. Had I not found mine, I would likely be ordering mine from ChiChi London.
