Autumn is a great time to get stuff done around the house and outside. Don’t start your autumn without reading these ideas. If you have a no money in your budget, also check out my list of free Autumn activities.
Have a ‘staycation’ in your city / town. Use booking.com, pop in your postcode and stay somewhere local for the night as the leaves turn.
Similarly, go glamping. Often it becomes cheaper towards the end of the year and I can promise the huts and yurts are just as warm.
Go antiquing at your local charity shops and car-boot sales to winterise your home or to buy cheap summer things out of season
Throw a Halloween party (blog coming next week on how to do for cheap!)
Attend a farmers market and grab some in season fruit and vegetables.
Make a scarecrow in the garden with young family members.
Take a road trip through the autumn countryside. Don’t forget to stop and enjoy a warm picnic.
Run a 5K. If you’re into sports then autumn is a great time as during summer it often feels too hot and sweaty to endurance run.
Or if outdoor excercise isn’t your bag, join a new class at the gym to keep the winter pounds from piling on
Go to a drive through or outdoor cinema experience
Visit a haunted house
Start a wine and book club with friends
And don’t forget to create your own Halloween costume.
Host Bonfire night!
Start Christmas shopping to stay ahead of the busy high streets
